For those of you wondering about the new spelling of "Bryde" (Missa) I've decided to change it. This actually creates less confusion less people saying "You're name is BRIDE?" its more like a name than a noun. I would like everybody to call me Bryde from now on not just my family..so we'll see if this name chnage is successful. Wish me luck.
..I really just don't like Bridget.

I'm shocked you don't like the name Bridget. I love it---and I love your nickname Bride/Bryde. Hey, I'm really enjoying the sound of the band that plays everytime I visit your blog. They're really good!
Bridget is a cool name - you know it is. And I like Bride with an "i" better.
I love, love, love Bridget, Bridie and Bride. (Although, I realize it's not the nickname, but the spelling, you are bucking.) I say let them get over the fact that your name is a noun! It could be worse. Your name could be Dorcus and the noun could be "Dork." (This is a real girl name. I am not, as Dave Barry would say, making this up.)
I'm sorry, but you're not allowed to change you're name to Bryde. Bridget is a great name and what's wrong with nouns for names? Apple and all manner of fruits and veggies are allowed. Why not members of a wedding party?
OH MY HEAD! Russell's aunt is named Dorcus!
That is so crazy---I never knew that Dorcus was an actual name!! And it's even crazier that Russell has an aunt named Dorcus! Bridget--how can you not like your name?
A person's name is the very first gift they're given . . . that's all I'm saying.
