This is a group of boys I have known for a long time who have been known as "the team". Most unoriginally after channel 4 news team from Anchorman. Makes sense too, one is a natural leader, one's as dumb as nails, one wears too much cologne and one is secretly in love with the leader. Am I really writing this? I swear I wasn't planning on revealing all of this information. I'm sorry. My point; on Sunday at church I realized they were all there together, wearing white shirts and ties. It made me happy. One just got back from his mission, two are working on their papers now, and the other is getting baptized on Saturday. It was a good day.

Oh yeah that's me and Lauren. I like her.

Alright, so the other day I was expanding my nerdiness by discussing "Star Wars" theories with my father. I was freaking my mother out, I don't think she wants to have a daughter who watches "Star Wars". But I cannot ignore this part of me. This is the same girl who could shop all day long and/or enjoy "Steel Magnolias" on a Sunday afternoon. During our chat my dad called Yoda "frodo" yeah. Priceless dad moment. and definitely confirmed my nerd status.

Did I mention this started because they caught me watching "Return of the Jedi"?? Don't get me started.

this video makes me laugh.

Father's Day Fun

Monday, June 18, 2007

I had so much fun on Sunday.

My face hurts from smiling

Okay so the creepy monkey? Orientation I answered every question right, they gave things like these away. I was humbled quickly the week after. Although I'm comfortable now after my first week on the job, I haven't even started the actual position yet. My class starts on Tuesday of next week, where I'll learn everything for the front office agent position. I really like it. Even though I really have no like friends at work. That's the only thing I don't really like about it. I bumped into Trav I think my second day of work, and it made my whole day better! I feel like a grown up kind of almost. Patrick liked the name badge. People have actually said, "You look like you own the place.." interesting...

A Tribute to Spidey

Monday, June 04, 2007

I have two tattoos being the rebel I am. Both are Spidey tattoos. I will not turn my back on him.

The classy "No ordinary BUG" tongue tat came from the one and only fruit roll up tattoos.
Also, the neck Spidey came from candy cigarettes I got for free at the Mav. Cait used to tell me if I played with those when I was a kid, I would grow up to be a chain smoker for sure (scared me). We were also mocking a few girls we knew who had recently gotten tattoos on the back of their necks. We're so funny.

My Hero

This is Dad putting my bed together for the second time. When everything is the way I want it and my bedding is here I'll totally blog about it. Mom and I just found this comical. Nice position, no?

oh yes

Heather Robb's 12th birthday party. Prom Night theme. Quite fun, but I never want to look like that again.

Carli and Lauren are right next to me. Heather is obviously in the front. I'm so glad I'm still friends with these girls.

Mama

Things I love about Mama

* When we were little she would put chicken noodle soup, sometimes spaghetti-o's in our thermos.
* Impeccable taste
* Watches movies in her bed like me sometimes with me.
* Whenever there is candy in her seminary room, on Sunday's would take it home for us.
* Movies are better/more funny when I watch them with her.
* She always knows what to do
* She knows everything.
* When we'd have a field trip she would make a special lunch for us.
* When we'd tattle tale and say "patrick hit me" She'd say "hit him back." Really made me think at the time.
* Nobody makes an O Henry Bar like her.
* Or a whoopie pie.
* Or caramel corn!
* Unbelievable ironing skills
* Let's me borrow her nice things
* Loves her gray hairs
* Let's me teach her slang to make people laugh
* Says an occasional phrase just to make me laugh
* Always knows what medicine to take.
* But I never take medicine, because she never gave it to me.
* Tough it out, right?
* Keeps little things we did in school.
* Gave me my laugh. Loud and boisterous, like she means it.
* Really good at games, word games to be exact.
* Has perfect nails.
* Never once told me to turn my music down.

There's plenty more...

Happy Mother's Day

She's Like the WInd

Okay, so I couldn't sleep last night, I usually find myself watching an 80's movie in the family room so I don't disturb G-ro. Last night I chose the 1987 (good year) classic "Dirty Dancing"...don't hate. So this reminded me of something I would really like to share with you guys, that I thought you might appreciate.

The infamous song SUNG by Patrick Swayze has been covered. A HIP HOP rendition. It sounds hilarious, I know, I still chuckle. And the video is very stupid. This is the first time I've ever seen it and I prefer to just listen. Unless you feel like laughing.

Two words. Guilty, Pleasure.

All of us!!

Rachelle in the middle with all of her little sisters

For Alpha Phi Theta Sigma Chapter we conducted a fundraiser for the Alpha Phi Foundation and our Philanthropy Women's Cardiac Care. We received donations and constructed 15 appealing baskets to auction off. Our chapter raised $5,001 (a dollar is a dollar) all to donate. VERY exciting. Oh ya, you wear red! One picture is of the pin (and logo) for our philanthropy a red dress.

i am so emo right now

Thursday, February 15, 2007

That's what I think about Valentine's Day. I am such an artist. ("It's Science" is from Anchorman so you say it with what I call, a "Burgandy" voice.)

P.S. Just for those who might ask I'll save you the comment. "emo" is a type of music short for emotional, sometimes angry and bitter (ie: Dashboard Confessional PERFECT example) It's a sub genre for hardcore punk music. (I could go on and on about the history but Dashboard is one of the most popular versions of emo, a breakthrough band, and one of my favorites) so it's basically kinda like crybaby music. I love it, pretty much have since the 7th grade. And now it's turned into like a scene-you can dress emo, (Patrick with his hood on and headphones in, so emo right now) everyone has been making fun of me (but they secretly wanna be like me) for being emo. Don't hate.

Examples of some emo lyrics

"Sing this song for me, and tell me how you'll never leave my side, I'll meet you at 7, I miss you already, goodbye to you."
*The Starting Line [Cheek to Cheek] AMAZING live. This was their encore song

"I'm not sleeping, no I'm not sleeping, because of you, and I've been dying to know, what's on your mind, and I've been dying, to hear your voice"
*Allred [I'm Not Sleeping]

"I'd buy you lemonade right now, if you were here, and I'd throw it in your face, and I'd listen to you cry!" (crazy huh!? hahha)
*Saves the Day [Rocks Tonic Juice Magic]

"I heard about your regrets, I heard that you were feeling sorry, I heard from someone that you wish you could set things right between us"
*Dashboard Confessional [The Best Deceptions]

"Take aim at the soft and tender, cause staring's not supposed to hurt!"
*The Higher [Lo]

I hope I have educated someone today. Yikes I sound like Micheal from tonite.

"From whence it came huh?"

Alright, I just find it amusing. This is a chicken dance Zach and I do from Arrested Development. Sometimes other's join in. He does Gob's and I do Lindsay's. It makes us so happy. It also embarrasses Mom. Which we love! This was Thanksgiving dinner at a very nice restaurant. So nice it made Zach and I, yes even Russ, a little squeamish to misbehave. We did not fail to do so. Classy, I know. But I can still say our family isn't boring. I've visited some of my friend's family's..wow. We are fun. Take my word for it.

Also how bout Zach's blog? I swear it was like front page news brother! Everyone was talking about it! "Did you hear???? Zach posted on his blog!!!" I got texts, phone calls, email's. I guess we kinda like you huh?

I'm weird.

Caity inspired me.

1. I am the Radio Nazi. Pretty much wherever I go, I am in charge of the music. In the car, in my room, when I clean, and especially at work, I bring in the cds, I control the radio. Whatever I say goes. I am always used to my music being very loud-Mom and Dad probably told me to turn down my music maybe once my whole life. What great parents. Music is supposed to be heard-it is supposed to be loud. Good thing I live in the basement.

2. I'm obsessed with eyebrows. I always notice when someone has good eyebrows. They can make or break a face. I am very particular with my own eyebrows and how they are done as well-I wonder where it comes from. Could it have something to do with Caitlin waxing my bushy brows when I was in 7th grade, no?

3. Although I agree with needing the undeniable tasty duo of the chips with the sandwich-I am now a bigger connoisseur of the ice cold beverage. I don't drink soda any longer. Very difficult when I get free soda-and I really like soda. So now I need something other than soda with every meal. Powerade, Lemonade, and I love love love Orange juice. I'm almost always in the mood for it. Yumbo.

4. On the inside, I'm 7 years old. I love dancing like a crazy person and I have no shame (I do this at work, at boys houses I just met, school hallway, in the rain, living room) I am a candy face. I still want to stay up late past my bedtime. I never like a boy for longer than a week. My favorite birthday gift this year-was a plastic ring from my birthday cake (all my best friends have matching ones too.)

5. The Salty Sweet Combo. Doritos + double stuff Oreos= delectable treat. I know, I know. This stems from Caity too, even though she would only eat that stuff with me under my suggestion she would still partake in the joy of the extreme unhealthiness. I have spread the love for this abroad. (Mama says it's PMS food.)

6. I can memorize lines to a movie all too easily. I say nothing original, because everything reminds me of a quote. I know this is a good Lunn trait-but seriously don't test me. I will get the line right, too.

7. I don't like to match. I mean I follow the rules like black and brown, stuff like that. Something matching and something that "goes" is totally different. And sometimes I think I have a gift for putting things together. When I get one new thing-I have ten new outfits. I think it was being exposed to those Instyle layout things at a very young age. I wear things several people never would. Probably the only thing I'm good at.

Snow Snow Snow Snow Snow!

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

it won't be long before we'll all be there with snow! We have so much snow. I get excited sometimes-I love it when you can see the snow falling in a picture. One picture is of Sara and I starting Fred (it was like 2 degrees out) he was never finished. Another is some Cinderella shoes in the snow (stolen from a roommate yes). And yes, I am silly/dumb enough to just lay in the snow (actually done for G-ro's photography class-but still my idea.)
